FRIENDS OF Holy Trinity have their Garden Party on Sunday from 12.30pm to 4.30pm in the vicarage garden. There will be a barbecue and bar, a live band, games, raffle and a mini Auction of Promises. Everyone is welcome.
EVENING WI meets on Tuesday evening at 7.45pm in the village hall when the speaker will be Mr H Horne, a shepherd working with the National Trust, who is very entertaining.
GILES GATE coffee morning in aid of Arthritis Research will he held next Saturday, June 18. Donations of cakes and biscuits will be welcome, also items for the bring and buy stall.
ALSO ON Saturday June 18, there will be a churchyard clearance day at Holy Trinity, tackling some of the brambles and other plant life.
CANCER RESEARCH garden trail this year will be in the Broombarn Lane and Green Park area of the village and will take place on Sunday, June 26 from 1pm to 5pm. Entry will be £3 to include all 11 gardens and teas and plants will be on sale.
THEATRE CLUB'S next production will be "Gasping" by Ben Elton which will be performed in the village hall on July 15 and 16 at 8pm plus a 3pm matinee on the Saturday, call the box office on 0709 201 5696.
GARDENING SOCIETY have seats available for a visit to RHS Wisley on Saturday, July 9 leaving from the High Street car park at 9.30am. Tickets are £12 including entrance and coach fare, £6.50 for RHS members. Please contact Joyce Wilton on 01494 863147 if you are interested.
