NAPHILL FETE is tomorrow when people from far afield come and bump into old friends to the background of music and a festive atmosphere.
This year again offers the traditional procession from Forge Road at midday, followed by the many competitions and stalls run by local organisations and clubs. The Good Old Days theme will pervade as books, bric-a-brac, ice cream etc. are sold, balloons are released and wellies thrown. Football activities, fastest tennis serve, pony rides and bouncy castles will attract all the various ages. Local Radio Mix 107 will be doing a Road Show and Pam Smith will be exhibiting her work detailing her researches into local history.
Let's hope there's the usual fine weather. In the evening, the fete dance starts at 8pm, contact 01494 564576 for tickets. Probably, those involved will be putting their feet up on Sunday, after all the hard work.
