A POPULAR youth club is looking to recruit some extra hands so more children can use it.
Organisers at The Loudwater Boys Club and Village Hall, in Birfield Road, are reporting good attendance at a time when similar facilities are seeing numbers slide.
But Alan James, junior club leader, admitted a few more volunteers would be very welcome.
"The problem is we have to limit the numbers because of the number of helpers we have," he said.
"We run a Thursday night for eight to 12-year-olds and Tuesday is for 12 to 16-year-olds. We have around 30 youngsters on a Tuesday and between 60 and 80 on a Thursday, but more would like to come."
Members are able to play pool, snooker or just meet with friends and socialise.
A recent darts competition proved a great success with Danielle Appleton winning through.
Mr James added: "We've been going for more than 20 years and although numbers were higher in the old days we are still going strong."
