A 17-YEAR-OLD High Wycombe youth has been remanded in custody by police in connection with the murder of pensioner Alan Irwing.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before magistrates at Wycombe Youth Court on Friday. He was charged with murdering the 74-year-old.
He stood only to confirm his name and address before being remanded. Magistrates refused bail.
The teenager will appear again before magistrates on Friday.
Mr Irwing was found in a pool of blood outside his home in Underwood Road, High Wycombe, on Thursday, May 19. He died later in Wycombe Hospital.
Five other teenagers were arrested as part of the police investigations into the death. They were all later released without charge.
