BORIS Johnson, MP for Henley, was in Chinnor to open the new headquarters of the Chilterns Conservation Board.
The organisation responsible for protecting and enhancing the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was set up in December 2004 and has just moved from its previous premises in Princes Risborough to The Lodge in Station Road.
The event was also attended by Sir John Johnson, chairman of the Conservation Board, representatives of the Chiltern Society and Chinnor residents.
Cathy Rose, from the Chilterns Conservation Board, said: "The day was fantastic.
"We had outgrown our old premises and we felt that it was time for a fresh start."
Friday also saw the launch of the new Chinnor Circular Walk, which has been designed to promote the rich scenery and heritage around Chinnor and Bledlow.
"Walkers can choose to do a fairly simple two-mile route or opt for a more challenging five-mile trek."
