A WOMAN'S best friend got her into a fine mess when the beloved pooch fouled on a communal green.

Wycombe magistrates fined Babatynde Isibor £250 for failing to clean up the mess after her dog Luna.

She was also ordered to pay £200 towards costs following a hearing on May 11.

Wycombe District Council brought the prosecution against her after it claimed Ms Isibor "frequently refused to clear up the mess left by her dog."

But Ms Isibor claims that she was made a scapegoat for other dog owners who dodge punishment when their dogs foul public areas.

Inspectors collared Ms Isibor for the same offence in January.

On that occasion she was found guilty and fined £150 by magistrates.

On both occasions the district council says that Ms Isibor repeatedly ignored letters from dog wardens and signs in the area reminding owners to "clean it up".
