PRIVATE gardens across the Chilterns are being opened to the public to celebrate the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home's 20th anniversary.
Throughout June proud gardeners are welcoming the public into their small cottage gardens to raise money for the Buckinghamshire based cancer charity.
The Red Lion Cottage, Bowers Farm, Friars Vane and Littlelands in Coleshill, near Amersham are welcoming visitors next Sunday and directions are available throughout the village.
In addition five times Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist Bunny Guiness has persuaded owners of more than 40 medium to large country retreats across Buckinghamshire to open their gardens to visitors for the first Iain Rennie Hospice at Home Open Garden Scheme.
It is hoped the scheme will attract up to £7,000 to provide specialist nursing care for terminally ill cancer patients or people with life-threatening illnesses.
Garden entry starts from £2 per person with discounts for multiple garden visits. Many gardens offer refreshments, and people can buy plants and seeds as well as Iain Rennie Hospice at Home merchandise.
