VILLAGE FETE takes place tomorrow with all the usual stalls being run by village organisations. Please give them your support. Refreshments will be available in the Methodist Church hall and the St Francis Room. You can visit the Camera Club's exhibition in the Methodist hall as well as pausing to admire the floral arrangements in St Peter and St Paul Church.
Food will be available at the barbecue run by the Scouts, at the hog roast, and there's the usual refreshments with tea and coffee.
The Dog Show should attract some excellent entries but your pet dog may well take a prize in the "Fun Dog" section.
As well as the fete a Car Boot sale will be held on the Common by the Fleur. From midday onwards the place to be with the family is at the fete to enjoy all the attractions.
ON SUNDAY Churches Together will have a service on the Common at 9.30am or, if wet, in the Methodist Church.
THURSDAY the Older People's Action Group (STOPAG) will have another lifestyle meeting. Advice on sensible healthy living will be given by Deborah Taylor and Jane Williams. Lunch is at 12.45pm and the meeting starts at 1.30pm.
LAST WEEK the flag at the Memorial Hall flew for the WI anniversary and thanks are due to Ted Green for this. He is the one responsible for flying the flag on behalf of the parish council on occasions such as Remembrance Day, royal birthdays etc.
