TWO LOCAL ISSUES were addressed at the town council Annual Meeting last Thursday. Firstly the plans to develop the Earle Mitchell playing field into a improved sports and recreational facility for the town.
A major element will be the levelling of the lower section of the site to enable regular maintenance. The meeting also considered the future of the town's Literary Institute, the High Street based charity. There was general agreement that the trustees should encourage wider community input, involvement and usage. The trustees agreed to meet the town council to progress this.
