CHERNOBYL CHILDREN'S LIFELINE charity dance will take place at the Village Hall on Saturday, June 18 starting at 7.30pm. Chiltern Link, which helps fund hosting by local families for the visiting Chernobyl children, is organising the event. Dancing will be to the Moose Brothers Band and there will also be a barbecue. Tickets may be obtained from 01494 442950. For several weeks local people will be looking after the children who live under the threatening results of the Chernobyl disaster.
MORE RUSTY RACQUET SESSIONS under the helpful eyes of the Lawn Tennis Club will be available on June 16 and July 7 from 6.30pm onwards. They will also get coaching on doubles tactics included. The club will host the "Fastest Serve" competition at the fete on Saturday, June 11.
