CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS for Bucks Schools Under 8s were held at the infant school recently. Four of our local children were placed in the top eight. Adam Phimister, a five year old at the first school, was outstanding in finishing in fifth equal with Connor Sagar from Great Kingshill. Adam's older brother James was second, a position shared with another middle school star, Aaron Revell.

CHRISTIAN AID would like to thank everyone involved in the recent house-to-house collection for the total of £2390.74 donated and special thanks to the volunteers who did all the footwork.

THURSDAY the Womens Fellowship at the Baptist Church have a talk by Rosie Brown at 2.15pm.

CHURCH IN BLOOM takes place on Saturday, June 11 in the Methodist Church. From 11am to 6pm admission of £1 gives access to superb displays. On Sunday there will be a sale of flowers.

DONATIONS of plants, books, cakes and other items are needed for the sale at Cherry Garth Residential Home on Saturday, June 18. Please take items into the home.
