TWO NEW COURSES, one for beginners and the other for the experts, have been installed for the Dartmoor Letterboxing Summer Family Challenge, which is taking place in Black Park today.

Letterboxing has been taking place on Dartmoor for over 100 years and involves map-reading skills with some lateral thinking and working with a compass. Letterboxes have been hidden over the park and each box has an ink pad and a stamp.

Collect all the stamps and you receive an official Black Park certificate. You can start anytime between 10.30am and midday so, weather permitting, it is an ideal occasion for a family picnic.

Cost is £5 per family or £2.50 for individuals.
