TOWN council vice-chairman Miv Hughes has resigned in frustration at the lack of progress she claims is made at their meetings.
Mrs Hughes, who had been on the Princes Risborough council for six years, blamed a "variety of reasons" for her decision to stand down.
She said: "I have had enough. I had been there for six years and things were moving slower than I hoped they would. The wheels seem to move very slowly in and I am a bit more impatient than some."
The resignation was accepted by the council on May 3.
Gary Hall, town mayor and chairman of the council, said he was sorry to see Mrs Hughes go.
He said: "We were all sad to hear of her intentions.
"She has been on the council quite a long time and been a credit to the town. We wish her well in the future."
Mrs Hughes picked out the council's move to their new accommodation in Tower Court, Horns Lane, at the end of March as a highlight of her time in office.
Mrs Hughes' resignation follows that of Cllr Phillip Arnold earlier in the year.
Mr Arnold has since been replaced by William Streule.
Risborough town councillors are looking to elect a new member.
If ten or more electors petition the council, an election will be arranged.
Otherwise a councillor will be appointed by co-option.
