BUS firm Arriva is investigating a complaint that one of its High Wycombe drivers failed to stop at designated stops on the 326 Micklefield service.
Nikki Day says she was forced to walk half-a-mile with her shopping and two young children on Tuesday, May 25, despite repeatedly pushing the "stop" button.
But when the 11.45am service finally stopped, the 30-year-old said she noticed the driver wearing ear phones.
Ms Day, of Micklefield Road, said: "I rang the bell like I normally do, but he went straight past the stop. I couldn't believe it when he passed the next stop.
"I was so angry when I finally got off. I noticed he was wearing an ear piece a bit like those hands-free kits for phones."
Ms Day struggled home where she immediately telephoned the town centre depot to complain.
Arriva confirmed that a complaint had been lodged, and it would be investigated by senior staff at the High Wycombe depot.
Kate Flint, Arriva spokesman, added: "All our drivers know that the use of electronic equipment when driving is totally unacceptable. We take any allegation that a driver is behaving in an inappropriate manner very seriously and will not hesitate to take any appropriate action with the driver if necessary."
