Hi, my name's Keely. I'm 17 years old. I love going out, but when it comes to the weekend I don't do a great deal. Friday nights are my lazy nights as I'm usually exhausted and have to start work at 8am the next day.

I spend quality time with my boyfriend during the evening then my Sundays consist of school work, but when my friend phoned me and said she had free tickets to watch Top of the Pops I jumped at the chance.

It was a dream come true and something I had wanted to do since I was a little girl watching the Spice Girls perform. Yes, I was a Spice Girls fan. As a typical teenager I planned my outfit days before I went. I had to look my best if I was going to be on TV.

The day finally came and school lasted an eternity, but at last the time came to race to Amersham train station. My time management was not great that day. Firstly I was late picking my friend up, then we missed the train that our other two mates were getting on. But it got worse. Just as we were arriving at Baker Street we got delayed in a tunnel for 15 minutes. It was then a race against time to get to White City.

We arrived almost half an hour late, and were placed on standby and had to wait ages before they finally called us in.

The adrenaline was pumping and I was ready to dance. We crammed our way into the studio and saw a great performance from the Coral. I then shuffled between two stages and saw Akon perform he even touched my hand!

I also saw performances from the Bodyrockers and Faith Evans.

It was an amazing night and to top it off I met Richard Bacon and got his autograph. It's remarkable to think that these tickets are free on the internet along with many other TV shows. It's great for teenagers who don't have lots of money, as long as you have enough for a train fare and a McDonald's then the night is complete.
