I AM disappointed about Marlow Town Council's refusal to carry the motion, agreed at the public meeting in March, demanding that the Waitrose application be referred to the Secretary of State with a view to holding a public inquiry.
I find it a great privilege to have a local council working for its community towards a better future. However, on this occasion we sadly see our town council sitting on the fence over a matter of such great importance.
This worries me, as I begin to wonder how long it will be before we eventually lose what should be valuable representation for and in our town.
Come on town council we want a public inquiry and then, when the full picture has been made public, we can finally make some decisions on the Waitrose plans.
