TEAMS OF TEN paddlers plus one drummer are needed for the Dragon Boat Challenge, one of the features of the Town Regatta and Festival on Sunday, June 12. CHEQUERS PUB in the High Street is putting on a breakfast when the British Lions rugby team meet the mighty All Blacks next month. Admission is by a £10 ticket, these are on sale now, and this provides a massive breakfast of steak, chops, bacon and eggs, hash and beans, plus a juice. The match will be played on Saturday, June 25, and kick-off is 8.10am so it will be an early start.

It is setting out from the Spade Oak car park at 9.30am and participants are invited to take along binoculars to spot the various types of bird life. AN EASY, moderate walk to introduce you to the Simply Walk programme takes place on Wednesday from the main entrance at Court Garden Leisure Centre. A one-mile walk is on offer or you can opt for a three-four mile amble around the river and countryside. Simply Walks is a scheme organised by the Primary Care Trusts and South Bucks District Councils as part of a "Walking the way to health" initiative.
