ANNUAL KNIT IN by ladies of the Evening WI will take place tomorrow outside Rusts Supermarket. As well as raising money for Arthritis Research, the squares knitted will be made into blankets and donated to Oxfam or local care homes.

PRESTWOOD SOCIETY hosts a talk on "The Work of Woodrow High House" by Roy Hickman on Tuesday at 8pm in the village hall.

GARDEN at Sherona in Spurlands End Road will be open on Monday afternoon from 2pm to 5pm, with proceeds to the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

POT LUCK LUNCH in Holy Trinity Church hall will be on Friday, June 3, at 1.15pm. Bring a savoury or sweet dish to share.

FRIENDS of Holy Trinity Church will be celebrating their second birthday with a garden party in the vicarage garden on Sunday, June 12 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. As well as a barbecue and bar, there will be a live band, games, raffle and a mini Auction of Promises. Entry is free and all are welcome.

MAKE a note in your diary of this year's garden trail in aid of Cancer Research UK.

This will take place on Sunday, June 26 from 1pm to 5pm and will feature gardens in the Broombarn Lane and Green Park area of the village, with teas being served in a garden at Broombarn Lane. Entry will be £3 to cover all the gardens.

WEDNESDAY WALKERS meet at 9.30am in Sprinters sports centre car park to enjoy a walk along footpaths of around three to five miles.
