BUG HUNT organized by Wycombe Wildlife takes place in Common Wood on Saturday, June 4 from 10.30am until 12.30pm. There will be a supper and a cash bar with the evening commencing at 7.30pm. Further details and tickets are available by calling 01494 816438.
OPEN GARDENS DAY is on Sunday, June 12 in aid of Village Care. There will be more than 20 gardens open and refreshments will also be available. You can look around from 1.30pm until 5.30pm and the starting point is the village hall. You will be able to get details of all the gardens that are open from there.
SUPER FUN RUN celebrates its 22nd year and is on Sunday, June 19. Entry forms are now available. The Penn Seven starts at 11am and the Fun Run at 2.30pm. You can obtain a form from most village shops or the village hall. They can also be downloaded from the village website at www.pennandtylersgreen.co.uk Forms should be returned to Super Fun Run, 25 Court Lawns, Tylers Green, High Wycombe HP10 8DH as soon as possible.
ONLY TWENTY tickets are left of the 400 issued for the celebration dinner to mark 60 years since the end of World War Two. You should contact Tina or Peter Brown on 01494 814955 quickly to purchase the remaining few.
There is to be an exhibition of Penn and Tylers Green in the Second World War and if you have any old photos that you feel would be suitable, please contact Tina or Peter.
CRICKET and the league fixtures against Taplow on Saturday were washed out. Tomorrow, the first eleven are at home to Amersham Hill and the seconds are away to Cookham Dean. Both fixtures start at 1.30pm and I will have particular interest in the first eleven match.
We must just hope for good weather, we won't even demand sun, just an absence of rain, please.
