THANK YOU FROM CAROL and all the dedicated team at Maplewood School to those who supported the successful fashion show, which raised a fantastic £300, and the quiz night which raised an even more fantastic £1,500.

This all goes towards the hydrotherapy pool fund, as will half the proceeds from a fete and circus to be held at the Disraeli School. The school is to have a Big Top in the school grounds housing the many acts that make up a magical afternoon of entertainment. It takes place on Saturday, June 11. The fun kicks off at 11.30am with a fete, then continues with the circus starting at 2pm. Tickets are on sale now and selling fast, so book quickly to avoid disappointment. Just £5 each or £18 for a family of four with those under 18 months gaining free admission. Book now with Carol during school hours on 01494 525728.

NOT QUITE SO FAR distant is the opportunity to visit a local garden and support the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home charity. Ron White came to talk to the Horticultural Society last November about alpine plants and is opening his garden on Bank Holiday Monday. The address is Sherona, Spurlands End Road in Great Kingshill.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH co-ordinators next meeting will be held on Monday, June 6, 7.30pm, at St James' Church hall on Plomer Hill. The guest speaker will be lawyer Carl Barker, a Crown Prosecutor. This promises to be an interesting and informative evening. Give me a call if you would like to go.

DRUGS AWARENESS evening is at the Disraeli School on Tuesday, June 21 at 7.30pm. I'll remind you nearer the time. It's suitable for all aged over 11years with families particularly welcome.
