THAMES VALLEY Farmers' Market will be there tomorrow in the old market place at Windsor End. Stalls selling all types of food, fresh and home produced, will be open from 9am until 12.30pm. Organic foods will also be available and there is usually a plant stall, plus fruit juice and beer.

A NEW Early Bird Service will be launched on Sunday at St Michael's Church hall for children of up to five years and their parents. The full of fun service will include songs, simple prayers and Bible stories from 9.15am for about 25 minutes. This service will then be held monthly on the last Sunday, but if you would like to know more please contact Helen Chow on 01494 675832.

ALSO ON Sunday, and at the same church is another informal evening service in the "God in the Life of" series. This will be from 6pm and is with Ronnie Lewin, scientist and educationalist.

EARLIER in the day St Mary's walking group will meet for their monthly walk, starting at 1.40pm from the War Memorial IT'S ANOTHER weekend of Open Gardens in aid of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. From 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, 11 Netherwood Road, and three other gardens will be open and more details may be obtained from 01442 890222. One of the gardens will be in Jordans village. Next weekend there will be seven Open Gardens.

WITH THIS being a Bank Holiday weekend it is an ideal time to see all the new exciting models and other improvements at Bekonscot, our own model village. It will be open from 10am till 5pm daily and includes a picnic area or an eaterie, a wonderful shop and much more. As they say, despite being 75 years old, they are still improving with age.

COFFEE MORNING with bring and buy will be held at Three Gables sheltered housing scheme in Station Road, from 10.30am, on Wednesday and there will also be cakes and cards.

BLOOD DONATING times comes round regularly and the next session will be on Wednesday at The Beaconsfield School from 2pm to 3.55pm and again from 4.45pm to 6.45pm.

FRIENDS OF ST MARY'S has organised a lively barbershop and jazz concert called "Swing into Summer" to be held at St Mary and All Saints Church on Saturday, June 11 at 7.30pm. Artists performing will include the popular and local Clerical Error and also the Kathleen Willison Trio. The concert has been sponsored by English Courtyard and the tickets at £10 include a champagne reception and are available from the parish office in the Fitzwilliams Centre, or phone 01494 676690.

A REMINDER that Chiltern Shakespeare Company are performing at Hall Barn again this year. They will present "The Taming of the Shrew" from June 8-11and June 15-18 with tickets available from 08700 667720. This year's charities are the National Deaf Children's Society, and Bucks Search and Rescue.
