A familiar face is back in Wycombe after a five year absence. Robert Currie has joined Aitchison Raffety's High Wycombe office as senior surveyor.
He left the town in 2000 to join forces with Bob Warde in forming Smith Warde Currie in Marlow. Before that he spent 14 years as director of professional services at the Wycombe office of Stupples & Co, having previously been an associate partner at AC Frost before the agency's takeover by Prudential.
Robert began his professional career in London when he joined the chartered surveyors Richard Ellis & Son in 1971.
He is now a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and was recently re-elected vice chairman and non-executive director of the Buckinghamshire Building Society.
Aitchison Raffety has more than 150 employees and 14 offices stretching from London to the newest base in Milton Keynes.
"It's great to be back based in High Wycombe with Aitchison Raffety's corporate resources," says Robert. "It's an exciting time in the town's history with major developments under way."
Meanwhile Bob Warde has joined the commercial property agency Deriaz Slater Commercial to focus on professional work including rent reviews and management.
The Marlow surveyor, who is on the Presidents of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Panel of Independent Experts, dealing mainly with rent reviews, has 35 years' experience of commercial property.
In the early 1970s he worked with Jones Lang La Salle in their Dublin office, then moved back to the UK as a director of Raffety Buckland based in Wycombe.
In the late 80s he set up Warde & Co which eventually led to his most recent business venture with Robert Currie.
Senior partner Paul Deriaz welcomed Bob to the team.
"He brings a wealth of property experience and a loyal client base," he said.
