Buckinghamshire entrepreneur Mike Swift is selling his two grade II listed hotels in the Cotswolds to return to his wife's homeland Kuala Lumpur.
Christie's Milton Keynes office has just sold The Kings Arms at Chipping Norton for the £1.2million guide price. The country inn, with 14 ensuite bedrooms, has been bought by Arkells, the local brewery, and will continue to be run by the previous owner's popular manager Vivian Morris.
All that remains now is for Christie's Stewart Harkness to find a buyer for the Old Crown at Faringdon. The Stoke Hammond hotelier bought the ancient coaching inn with ten ensuite bedrooms a few years ago from Greene King.
"It's now been refurbished and is ready for someone to step in take it over," says the agent who is inviting offers of around £1m for the freehold.
