IT was all laughter and smiles as hundreds of people turned out in support of High Wycombe charity Autismbucks.

Television star Lorraine Kelly joined in the fun and games at Penn School on Sunday, May 14, after agreeing to patron the popular organisation which now accommodates 80 youngsters.

Sunday's launch further highlighted the charity's growth, which has snow-balled since its creation as the Spectrum Club by concerned mum Ann Barrett in 2002.

She said: "My son Ian (11) has Asperger's syndrome, but there was nowhere for him to go outside home or school.

"The Spectrum Clubs provide a safe and comfortable environment for youngsters who are often isolated because of their difficulties."

Offering a variety of assisted activities, the charity aims to provide youngsters with a normal club environment.

Autismbucks represents an umbrella body which caters for the fundraising and publicity side of the charity.
