THE Government has been warned about the number of deaths on the busy A4010 between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough for a second time.
Princes Risborough council originally sent a letter back in November to Alistair Darling, secretary of state for transport, to outline its dissatisfaction with the management of the road.
In the latest letter, the town council said: "The road is currently carrying a very high number of vehicle journeys, and working at beyond its capacity on a regular basis.
"The town council is very concerned with the disproportionate number of deaths along the length of this road."
In December Maurice Wilson, 66, of Aylesbury, was killed when his car crashed into the Bradenham Bridge on the A4010. This followed the death of 18-year-old Emma Taylor in 1998.
Between 2001 and 2003 there were 68 accidents on the busy road, including one fatal and 14 serious.
The council said its concerns were passed down from the transport department to the Government Office for the South East and then to Buckinghamshire County Council, without any reply reaching the town council.
