WORK has now started on a new bus depot in Cressex. All buses needing storage, servicing and maintenance will come to the depot, in Lincoln Road.
This will keep such work away from the new passenger interchange to be built in the Eden redevelopment of the town centre.
Work will be finished by the autumn.
Council leader Lesley Clarke said: "Re-housing the bus depot is a key aspect in preparing the town centre for redevelopment and providing a better environment for visitors by bus to the town."
The depot site is owned by Wycombe District Council and will be leased back to the bus operator.
The passenger interchange will be built on the Bridge Street car park site and will have improved passenger waiting facilities and more comprehensive information on bus routes and timetables.
Work on this starts in September and finishes early next summer.
