RESURFACING of Grange Road is a welcome improvement to this access road for the village hall, pub, farm and local residents. For many years this has been very much an unmade road with potholes that seemed to get larger by the day. The resurfaced section runs just beyond the entrance to the village hall although the car park adjacent to the pub has not been done.
PLANS for a football wall at the village hall are being considered. The wall is specially designed for allowing ball games to take place safely and is far preferable to using the walls of the hall or other buildings. Currently the village hall has a playground adjacent for younger children and the new wall will be a welcome addition for older children. There is also the possibility of having cricket nets that would further enhance the range of activities available.
