EVENING WI members enjoyed Brian Edwards' talk about several works of art by Turner, Constable and Monet. Members who went to Flackwell Heath enjoyed Mrs Purdy's talk about her youth, keeping everyone in stitches. Some members joined Lane End WI for an evening walk and supper which was enjoyed. Those who did get tickets for the Aylesbury Stadium (it was over subscribed) enjoyed October Calendar Girl Tricia Stewart's amazing story.
Betty Page will be entertaining them next month for their 22nd birthday party.
VILLAGE HALL car park will come into leaf and bloom tomorrow as stalls will be set up selling plants, annuals, perennials, vegetable seedlings, hedging, climbers etc. It is certainly worthwhile buying plants at this event organised by the horticultural society. The quality is good and afterwards you can visit the Christian Aid coffee morning at the Methodist Church in Chapel Lane.
