LEE Common Methodist Church hosts a Christian Aid coffee morning tomorrow from 10.30am to midday. There will also be a sale of cakes and plants etc.
THE GARDEN at The Old Sun House, Pednor will be open on Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm. This is a five-acre garden, abundant with wildlife, set on a Chiltern ridge and giving superb views. The garden is surrounded by mature trees with inner plantings of unusual trees and shrubs. Features include a large ornamental pond with walkway. There's also a vegetable and herb garden, woodland walk, white peafowl, guinea fowl, pheasantry and chickens. Home-made teas will be on sale. From Great Missenden take the B485 to Chesham, first left and follow signs after approximately two miles.
LIBRARY has a sale of ex-library videos, DVDs, CDs and books at bargain prices.
AGECONCERN Lunch Club is held every Tuesday in the Baptist Church hall. Contact Joyce Winson on 01494 862545 for further details.
CREAMTEAS are served at the Parish Church every Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. There's lots of delicious home-made cakes and scones, with the bonus of a lovely view over the village.
COUNTY and district councillors will be holding a surgery for residents on the first Saturday of each month in the downstairs meeting room at the library from 10am. You can go along and speak to them about any concerns you have relating to local services or to gain information on such matters. I was interested to hear from County Councillor Mike Colston that Bucks County Council spends £1.4 million pounds every day providing services such as highways, education and much more.
