TOMORROW Julie Hargrave will be remembered when the Soroptimists hold a stall outside Breeze on The Parade.

They'll be selling books, CDs and similar items from 10am to midday. Julie, who died tragically earlier this year, had become a member of the Soroptimists.

Money raised on the stall will go to research into blood clots.

Forum Players present their show in the Centre Theatre tonight and tomorrow at 8pm. It starts with an episode of Dad's Army, complete with uniforms, and then proceeds to highlight great British heroines.

Finally there's a chance to sing along with music from wartime. There won't be a dry eye in the house after "We'll meet again"

Tickets are £8 and £5 from the box office at Crocks and Crystal on The Parade. There will probably be tickets available on the door as well.

RNLI supporters will get together on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the small hall at the Community Centre for their AGM and yearly review. The guest speaker will talk about the conspiracy theories behind the disappearance of Major Glenn Miller, the band leader, during the Second World War.

SCRABBLE is played at the Community Centre on Thursday at 2pm.

SCHEDULES for the classes in the Horticultural Society's Annual Show on August Bank Holiday Monday are now widely available.

Pick one up - it makes good reading and is full of colour. There's certain to be a class, or classes, that would be suitable for your talents.

HAVE YOU been into our new charity shop and met Angela, the manager? There will also be lots of familiar faces among the volunteers.

GOOD NEWS for those who opposed plans for the Maidenhead to Marlow route to become a Community Rail Line. There are indications that this will not be progressed due to strong public feeling against the proposal.

Further discussions will take place on a variety of issues relating to increasing the use of the rail line.

CALL INTO the Community Centre and look at the noticeboard which has information about lots of events taking place over the next months.

There's also a big display of leaflets on one wall including train timetables for both Thames Trains and the Chiltern Line.

ENJOY the riverside. There are wonderful walks from Cookham to Marlow either alongside the river or up through the hills on either side.

Remember, you can always take the train back to your starting point.
