MAY I, through your letters page, thank everyone who voted for me in the election last week and in particular my magnificent team of supporters who helped me canvass every area in Chesham and Amersham.
May I also thank the returning officer and his team, all the people who manned the polling stations throughout a long day, the counters who worked through the early hours, the police who look after everyone's safety and everyone who worked to ensure that this important, democratic process is maintained.
I want to assure everyone in Chesham, Amersham and all the villages that I shall continue to work hard on your behalf and to serve you in my capacity as your Member of Parliament.
My husband, Jack, joins me in sending our thanks and warmest wishes to all in the Parliamentary Constituency of Chesham and Amersham.
Cheryl Gillan MP, House of Commons, London
