THE new Eden development is on land which forms a triangle between Abbey Way, Oxford Road, Bridge Street, Lilys Walk and Desborough Road.
It will have two anchor stores a 140,000 sq ft House of Fraser and a 110,000 sq ft Marks and Spencer ten large stores including a Next six times the size of its present shop, 25 standard shops and 15 kiosk-style shops.
In addition there will be a 12-screen cinema, a bowling alley, six bars and restaurants, and five cafes.
There will also be 44 apartments, a new library, Shop Mobility, new bus interchange, a civic square and 1,530 parking spaces.
The 55,000 square foot cinema run by Cine UK would be twice as big as the six screen cinema at Cressex, with bars and other foyer facilities, and VIP boxes each seating about 20 people, which can be booked by parties.
Numberten Bowl will run the 18 lane bowling alley.
The shops cater very much for the younger end of the market; Zara, USC and Next are signed up.
Altogether, there will be 675,000 square feet of shopping space.
