CHRISTIAN AID coffee morning with a bring and buy sale will be held this morning at the Methodist Church from 10.30am to midday.
GARDENING Society annual plant sale will be held at the village hall tomorrow morning from 9am to midday. A good opportunity to stock up on various plants for the greenhouse and garden, grown by members of the society.
BRIC-A-BRAC Auction in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will start at 2pm tomorrow at The Grange, Saunderton .
WATCH out for runners on the roads around the village on Sunday, when the Prestwood 10K Race starts at 11am from the Sports Centre in Honor End Lane.
BLOOD Donor Sessions will take place on Tuesday in the village hall from 2pm to 3.55pm and 3.45pm to 7.15pm.
POT LUCK bring and share lunch, to benefit Christian Aid is next Friday, May 20 in Holy Trinity Church hall from 1.15pm onwards. £2 per person and please bring a donation of food. There will also be a sale of cakes, plants, Christian Aid cards etc.
MUSIC and Choral Concert will be held in Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, May 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 to include a glass of wine and can be obtained from 01494 863771, St Andrews Bookshop in Great Missenden or on the door.
EIGHTY THOUSAND Christmas trees are being grown at Peterley Manor Farm and their other farm in Dunsmore.
This was one of the interesting facts revealed by owner Roger Brill when he led a tour around the farm last week for Prestwood Forum for Farming and the Countryside.
The favourite crops picked by customers are strawberries and raspberries, with gooseberries coming up in popularity while tayberries are declining.
The tour finished in the polytunnels, where everyone was fascinated to see thousands of bedding plants being pricked out every hour by a computerised machine.
