DID you know that Hazlemere Garden Association is open to residents of the surrounding villages including Penn and Tylers Green?

It operates from Cedar Barn off Cedar Avenue, near to the Park Parade Shops at Cosy Corner. They are open from 10am until midday on Sundays with membership at £4 per household and £2 for the over 60's.

The association buys garden products in bulk and sells to members at below retail prices.

On Sunday it is holding its very popular plant sale at Cedar Barn from 10am until midday. Go along and stockup. All are welcome.

ZAKA Naka is now open on Hazlemere Road and has an exciting range of top quality furniture from around the world. They held a very successful opening party on Saturday.

KATHERINE KNAPP home in Stretton Close, Tylers Green is holding a garage sale tomorrow from 10am until 4pm. The money raised will go towards The Residents' Comforts fund.

In the summer the home is moving to Hazlemere into a purpose-styled building which will be much larger than the present one. Watch out for more details nearer the time.

CRICKET Club - The 1st XI suffered defeat for the second week running, losing by two runs to Holyport, in a match they should have won. The 2nd XI held out for a draw against a very competent Holyport 2nd XI.

On Wednesday the club are hosting the Morrant Chilterns Cricket League XI against The Fordham Surrey League, in the Inter League Knock-Out Cup. The match starts at 1.30pm and spectators will be most welcome.

Colts - The club are starting an under nine age group and will be using the Hit and Miss cricket ground at Penn Street, opposite the pub. If you have children of this age you should get them to the ground for 6.30pm on a Thursday evening. The club has acquired the services of a South African coach for this age group and the evenings will end at 8pm.

FRIENDS OF PENN SCHOOL is holding an Art Exhibition at the school tomorrow and Sunday to raise funds for the school. It starts at 11am tomorrow until 4pm and then from 10am Sunday until 4pm. Admission is £1.50.
