LIGHTHOUSE Missenden Sponsored Walk will take place on Sunday June 19 between 2pm and 3.30pm starting at the Oldham Hall. There will be a choice of three, six or ten miles. Last year's walk raised £1800 for Lighthouse.

It is a great opportunity to spend a healthy afternoon exploring the local countryside but the walks are not suitable for buggies as there are several stiles.

Further details from Malcolm Griffiths on 01494 890440 or email them at SponsoredWalk@Lighthousemissenden.org.uk.

DIARY of local events is held by the library and organisers are invited to fill in details of their activities. This could be a way to avoid two events of a similar type being planned for the same day.

CREAM TEAS are served at the Parish Church every Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm, lots of delicious home made cakes and scones, and a lovely view over the village.

ALSO at Holy Trinity Church, Penn Street, adjacent to Penn Woods, teas are served every Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm to 5pm.

PLEASE let me have details of your fund raising events so they can be included in this feature.
