HUGHENDEN Manor played a major role during the Second World War with many of its secrets only just being revealed. The Manor housed a dedicated band of intelligence workers who made maps to assist our armed forces in their heroic efforts to ensure freedom. Make a note now of the weekend of June 11/12 when the manor will be hosting a re-enactment of war time civilian life with the Home Guard, Land Army and NAFFI being represented.
