MAY FAIR tomorrow in St Dunstan's Church hall starts at 10am and ends at midday. Stalls will be selling cakes, preserves, cosmetics, garden plants, childrens clothes, books and bric-a-brac. There's refreshments, a raffle and the popular Bonus Ball as well as live background music.
RNLI door-to-door collection achieved another record with £4,144 raised. Sincere thanks to those who collected and to everyone who donated so generously.
Their helpers party is on Tuesday, May 24 in the small hall at the Community Centre at 7.30pm.
CHARITY SHOP on The Parade is open and welcoming. Call in and see what's on offer. You can donate goods by taking them along between 9am and 5pm. The shop supports the South Bucks Hospice. Volunteers are still needed for later in the week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
It's great to see the former Patricia's transformed into a lively shop again.
SEQUENCE DANCE tomorrow in the Community Centre at 7.45pm is always a friendly occasion. If you'd like to go along ring the dance leaders on 01628 522036.
VE for Forum Players means a "Village Entertainment" with a wartime theme.The first night is on Thursday and senior citizens have free entry as there won't be their usual free show on Wednesday. If you want good seats go along to Crocks and Crystal and collect your ticket as the seats are numbered.
"Dad's Army" starts off the show with an episode you're sure to remember. After the interval British heroes are recalled. Finally there's a chance to sing-a-long with familiar wartime songs.
Tickets are £8 adults and £5 concessions from Crocks and Crystal on The Parade. It's sure to be a great show and very topical as celebration events have been taking place across Europe.
GOOD LUCK to young footballers aged ten to 11 years who are in Bourne End's twin town of Octeville-sur-Mer this weekend to compete against top teams including Arsenal, Everton, Nice, and Saint Etienne.
