SKIPPING has taken The Downley School by storm after a visit by The Skipping Workshop as part of a healthy schools, initiative.
Workshop members paid the primary school pupils a visit on Tuesday and used volunteers from Year Five and Six to demonstrate a variety of traditional and modern playground games for individuals, pairs or groups.
Head of Downley School Rosemary Saunders welcomed the craze.
Mrs Saunders said: "The children loved it, they were so enthusiastic about the new skipping games they had been taught.
I'm sure that on every street corner in Downley this afternoon you will find a child skipping."
