Hello, my name is Kyranjeet and I have just turned sweet 16. I attend The Misbourne School and am currently in Year 11 and about to take my GCSE exams. Amongst other things I like dancing, writing in my spare time, playing the guitar and could not do without my friends.

I know what it feels like to have the endless pressure from tutors and parents about revising for the GCSE exams, it is very stressful, "but all worth it in the end" they say! This is true (I say through gritted teeth!), although admitting it can sometimes be difficult.

I also have to admit if you have dreams and aspirations you want to pursue, then getting the grades you need is vital.

But remember, don't worry; you are not the only one in this position, however you may be feeling.

The general advice from all those who know better is; to plan your revision schedule well in advance, to follow it religiously, focus on our goals and most importantly give yourself time to relax. Good luck to all of you.

As we are talking of education, I am sure you are aware of the forthcoming general elections, "THE BIG CHOICE" as Tony Blair calls it.

The general election does not only affect the people voting, but everyone like you and I.

However, we are only able to vote when we are 18.

Should the politicians also be aiming their campaign at the under 18's? After all, we are the adults of the future and will soon be one of the voters, but I ask you, will you want to take up the option of voting when you are eligible?

There are three main political parties: Labour who are currently in power, the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives.

Are you worried about your future education? Do you feel university is becoming more expensive?

Well, regarding the education promises from these parties, Labour has decided university top-up fees are capped at £3,000 over the next parliament. The Conservatives want to abolish university fees, but charge interest on student loans. The Liberal Democrats want to abolish university tuition fees altogether.

Personally, I feel that university is the path for me, thus the political manifesto is rather thought provoking however not immediately important back to revision for the moment then I suppose!
