TRADITIONAL Morris dancers were enjoying the bank holiday weekend in West Wycombe back in 1954.
They were entertaining the crowds with the quintessentially English summer pastime.
The sound of long wooden poles being struck together by a group of Morris dancers performing on May Day has long been keeping alive a tradition of English folk dancing that dates back hundreds of years.
The bat-wielding, bell- wearing male dancers were putting on a show opposite West Wycombe School 50 years ago this week.
If anyone recognises any of the Morris men in this week's picture contact Memories reporter Jenna Towler on 01494 755084.
