PROUD mums from Marlow were out in force to help promote a national campaign.
About a dozen women including Jenny Searle, wife of Olympic rower Greg Searle brought their tots into town in preparation for Breastfeeding Awareness Week, which began on Sunday.
The members of the Maidenhead and Marlow National Childbirth Trust (NCT) branch are encouraging all mothers to feel proud about breastfeeding.
Many of the town's restaurants, cafes, and venues including Court Garden Leisure Complex, in Pound Lane, and Caff Uno, in High Street, will be supporting the campaign. They will actively welcome breastfeeding mums by displaying signs saying "You Can Do It Here".
Mr Searle told the Free Press: "I fundamentally believe breastfeeding is the best thing for babies and am very happy that Jenny was able to breastfeed our children. She did a brilliant job."
Alice Willitts, NCT trainee breastfeeding counsellor, said breastfeeding provided babies with the healthiest and most nutritious start in life.
She said: "It's important that women shouldn't feel they have to rush home or that they dare not go out in case their baby needs to feed.
"There are many places in the area which actively support breastfeeding mothers and we want people to know about them."
