TEN mayors from across the capital toured the borough during three fundraising events.
The mayors of Hounslow, Lambeth, Merton and Redbridge attended the charity concert by the Ealing Symphony Orchestra at Acton Town Hall at the end of April, and then two days later six mayors from Barking and Dagenham, Brent, Enfield, Merton, Redbridge and Wandsworth took part in a tour of the borough organised by Ealing mayor Cllr Ian Potts.
They started at Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing, visited the Havelock Road Gurdwara in Southall, took a trip on the canal from Southall to Horsenden Hill and then visited the Hoover Building, in Greenford, and finally St Mary's Church in Perivale, which is the borough's oldest church.
Cllr Potts said of the visits: "It was with pleasure that I welcomed the chain gang' to Ealing; we have so many fabulous places in our borough."
