POCKET battleship John Bercow won a resounding victory to take the Buckingham seat for a third term.
The fiery Conservative, who is renowned for his performances in the House of Commons, first won the seat in 1997 when he took over from George Walden.
Buckingham, which is one of the biggest constituencies in the south east, is one of the Tories' safest seats.
They won more than half the votes in 2001.
From November 2003 to October 2004 Mr Bercow was Shadow Secretary of State for International Development.
