BLUE is the colour in South Bucks as the Conservative Party maintained its stranglehold with a series of victories during the General Election.

Paul Goodman beat off Labour's Julia Wassell to more than double his majority in the Wycombe and Marlow seat.

Dominic Grieve, a member of the Conservative party shadow cabinet, scored another resounding victory in Beaconsfield.

While Cheryl Gillan triumphed in the Chesham and Amersham seat she has represented since 1992.

Another shadow cabinet member David Lidington again won the Aylesbury seat which has held for 13 years.

The last result to come in was John Bercow's huge victory in Buckingham.
