THE mother of murder victim Carolyne Anne Jackson is so desperate to catch her daughter's killer she has enlisted the help of a psychic, it emerged this week.
And the sensational report compiled by the medium suggests the 50-year-old antique dealer died at the hands of a woman.
Mrs Jackson, 75, sent Mid Glamorgan-based medium Sally Jane Danter a purse and other items belonging to her daughter, in August last year.
She said: "I got her number from Psychic News. She works with the police on murder cases."
Neighbours discovered Miss Jackson, also known as Carolanne, dead on the kitchen floor of her home, Apple Tree Cottage, Burghers Hill, Wooburn Green, on April 13, last year.
She had been beaten about the head with fists and a blunt instrument, and bound by the hands and feet with items from her home. The official cause of death was asphyxiation.
In her report, the medium says a man accompanied a woman to the house on the night of the murder, but took no part in the killing.
She adds: "I am told the lady had a grudge. The victim was surprised even to see her there.
"But there was someone else with her, the woman would not have had the full intelligence to do this alone. The man who I get a flashback psychic picture of was too afraid to put a stop to what he knew was going to happen."
The medium adds: "I feel as if they were looking for assets that would have been of use to them if got rid of.
"I had a feeling they were going to hold her for some form of ransom, but they decided to suffocate her instead."
The report ties in with a police theory that Miss Jackson's attackers could have been trying to beat the safe combination code out of her.
Mrs Jackson, of Maidenhead, said she is now pinning her hopes on the recovery of a gold 1930s Cartier bracelet which was taken from her daughter's wrist at the time of the killing.
The medium says it was placed in a Barclays Bank safe deposit box and then taken out and put up for sale.
Mrs Jackson said: "Someone must know where this bracelet is. It is very distinctive."
The police incident room is still running in Maidenhead.
