Thieves steal valuable notes

TEACHER Jenny Gardiner lost her whole year's teaching plan when thieves broke into her car and stole her handbag.

The 27-year-old, who works at Robertswood Combined School in Denham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, appealed for the valuable notes to be returned.

The thieves, who broke into her car between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on April 23, also took a project written by one of Jenny's pupils which will go towards his end of term exams.

The car, a blue Vauxhall Astra, was parked next to the netball pitch at Kingsmead, London Road, High Wycombe, where Jenny was playing netball at the time.

The notes are in a yellow binder in a black holdall.

Jenny, of Micklefield Road, High Wycombe, said: "The notes are of no value whatsoever to anyone but me, because they are only lesson plans.

"I desperately need them so that I know what I'm doing with my lessons - I'm just trying to get by at the moment but it is very difficult.

"I spend at least two hours every evening planning the next day's lessons and a good couple of days before the year actually starts planning the overall structure of the year's lessons, so it's a bit of a nightmare to lose all those notes.

"I'm having to try and remember what I had already planned on teaching the children."

Jenny's car stereo and mobile telephone were also taken in the raid.

She said: "It would be nice to get those back as well, but what I really need are the notes - they are absolutely crucial."
