CERAMICS, sculptures, prints and pottery will all be on sale at a new art gallery which opens tomorrow.
The Red Gallery, in Marlow's Spittal Street, is the brainchild of artist Camilla Dowse and Micky Middleton, previously sales consultant for CCA Galleries in London.
The gallery will exhibit contemporary, collectable and unusual artworks by well-known artists such as Patrick Proctor and Elizabeth Frink to some of the UK's up-and-coming young artists.
The two co-owners feel Marlow is the perfect spot for the new gallery.
Micky tells Freetime: "We want to create a gallery that makes new work accessible to the public. Too often galleries have a stuffy, alienating atmosphere and it's easy to see why - we wanted to establish a more informal space in which to view artworks.
"The space in Marlow is small but we have endeavoured to make it welcoming and relaxing."
She adds: "It is also in a picturesque location and offers something extra for our customers - the riverside town boasts many restaurants and is a haven for speciality shops so we all hope this will make a trip to the Red Gallery a pleasure." Tim Gillett
% Weekend opening hours are Saturday 4-9pm and Sunday noon - 5pm. For more information call the Red Gallery on (01628) 483169
