Fifties show seeks stars
Are you a budding actress who's been hiding your light under a bushel?
If you are, then this could be your chance to shine.
Chesham's Bootleg Theatre Company is keen to hear from actresses interested in a role in their next production - the hit drama-comedy 'Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean'.
The show will be performed at The Elgiva, Chesham, from October 22 to 24 this year.
Vanessa Jackson, co-founder of Bootleg, explained: "We have cast most of the roles from our regular actors but there are two quite major roles that we need to cast before the summer rehearsals begin.
"One is the character played by Kathy Bates in the film.
"She's a brassy, loud, bossy woman from Texas so we do need someone with a good Southern American accent who is experienced in playing strong parts.
"She needs to be aged in the region of 30 to 40.
"The other role is the same age but a much gentler, mousy kind of girl - again needing a good American accent."
If you fit the bill and would be available for two rehearsals a week, starting in August, then contact Vanessa Chadwick on (01296) 661434 or Sarah Templeton on (01494) 775693. The group operates under a profit-share system
