A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has admitted he was unfit to ride his motorbike when it was involved in a collision which killed teenager David Tucker.

David, who was also riding a motorbike, died after the accident in a field near Slayter Road, Lane End, last September 14.

At Tuesday's hearing at Wycombe Youth Court, a 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to driving a Suzuki 125cc motorcycle in a public place while unfit to drive through drinking or drugs.

Abi Nixon, prosecuting, said the boy, who was 13 at the time of the incident, tested positive to a breath test, but was under the Thames Valley Police drink-drive limit for prosecution, which is 40mg of alcohol per 100ml breath. He was released without charge.

Ms Nixon told the court the boy went back to the scene with a police officer later the same day and showed an empty plastic bottle of cider he had been drinking.

Ms Dixon said an expert believed the alcohol could affect the reactions and decision-making of a young boy if he were not a regular drinker.

She said: "The incident was not witnessed by anybody, but as a result David Tucker received serious head injuries, which proved to be fatal."

James Fisher, defending, said: "He the defendant even went to the site to point out the bottle of cider he had drunk, so he did co-operate fully with the police."

The case was adjourned for sentencing.

David, 14, was riding a Honda 90cc without a helmet when the crash happened, police said at the time. He died at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital the next day.

His devastated parents Sherry and Nigel Tucker, of Southfield Road, Princes Risborough, told how their lives had been made hell because they have never known the exact circumstances leading up to their son's death. An inquest is due to be held into the incident next Thursday in Oxford.

Mr Tucker, 35, said: "We want the boy to realise that when you do wrong you have got to pay a price for it and not just walk away.

"We have had eight months of hell, eight months of our torment."

Mrs Tucker, 36, said: "It's destroyed our lives. My life revolved around my kids."
