AN unusual two bedroom bungalow on the private Abbotsbrook estate at Bourne End is for sale through Hunt & Nash.
The chalet was built about 70 years ago. It stands on stilts with a large basement area underneath. There are two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, 23ft sitting room, 22ft kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and a refitted shower room with a Mira shower. Perhaps the best feature is the 40ft enclosed verandah which stretches the length of the bungalow and overlooks the Abbotsbook stream which forms the boundary on the south side of the garden.
Jeremy Gordon at the agent's Bourne End office says the property now needs a total refit.
Some of the bids he has been receiving are from buyers who intend to knock it down and start again.
Jeremy expects the bungalow to sell for not far short of £250,000. He already has offers in excess of £220,000.
